COACH KAM MACK

My passion for fitness started in a very "unorthodox" way. Married at a young age, I endured a very physically and mentally abusive marriage. Over the sum of 11 years, it began to weigh down on my self esteem, confidence, and overall self acceptance. I sank into a deep depression and began to hide myself and bury my goals in my children, career, and the façade of having the "perfect family" to the world. Eventually losing full sight of who me.

After many years of this situation, I finally decided to try and make a change. Though I hadn't developed the strength to leave yet, I signed up for boxing classes at a local boxing gym, with the desire to learn how to fight, in an attempt to defend myself should I encounter another "violent episode" (I hated the feeling of being "weak"). But, what I ultimately gained was a new confidence and identity.

I felt alive and strong when I boxed, and not only did I transform my body, but my mind as a woman and mother began to get stronger. This feeling gradually helped me take the leap to follow this new passion. I  becoming a competitive boxer and ultimately a Golden Glove Champion. This led me to gather the strength to leave my violent marriage, my high figure 9-5 job and my lack of self esteem, to pursued my new found identity in fitness.

I gradually worked my way up the fitness ranks teaching classes such as Title Boxing, Orange Theory, iLoveKickboxing, CycleBar, Outdoor bootcamp and a host of other fitness disciplines; which ultimately enabled me to become a highly sought after fitness coach, manager, and personal trainer and eventually, in 2019, an IFBB Professional Figure Athlete.

Through my personal fitness brand, Bawse Bodies, I specialize in coaching women who may have lost their identities in one way or another. My overall goal has been to use health and fitness as a medium to help women realize that, like a phoenix, "out of the ashes they can still rise" and recreate themselves.

As a divorced, single mother of 4 who was once more than 100lbs over weight, suffering from depression, abuse and a self-identity crisis Fitness literally changed my entire life and I have used my fitness and bodybuilding journey as a platform to do the same for women of all ages.

It is my mission to empower and inspire women holistically, in hopes that they too will tap into their true potential and inner Bawse.
